We would like to thank everyone who came out to attend the Symposium on April 4th.  We had over 200 attendees from Duke and beyond join us to learn about the amazing work of our innovators and how they're advancing the field of global health.  In the coming weeks we will have videos from the Symposium available for those who were unable to attend or for those that want to revisit sessions they attended.

We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2015!

The 2014 Symposium features lectures, panels and networking opportunities with leaders and innovators in global health

Join leading health innovators from around the world and local community in a dialogue on these topics, as well as approaches and insights into scaling innovations in global health.  Panelists include leading global health innovators, USAID, Grand Challenges Canada, Gates Foundation, and Duke faculty!

During the Symposium, you’ll meet companies who are

…developing a technology to allow for medical consultations through mobile phones without the physical presence of a doctor
…developing a system to prevent the spread of drug-resistant TB in India and Cambodia
…pioneering use of mobile technology to facilitate healthcare financing for the working poor in Kenya

And many more companies and organizations who are changing the face of global health today!

Students will also have the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in global health innovation and to pitch their own innovative ideas to a diverse group of healthcare social entrepreneurs to receive feedback and advice.
